Non-contact cardiac and safety monitoring for elderly people living alone — using Wi-Fi sensing and mmWave radar, with no cameras and nothing to wear.
◇ The problem
When an older person lives alone, the dangerous moments are the silent ones — a fall, a breathing change at night — that no one is in the room to see. Cameras feel invasive and wearables get left on the nightstand.
◇ What Rythm does
Rythm is contactless cardiac and safety sensing for elderly people living alone. A small device on the wall watches for falls, breathing anomalies, and sleep and daily-rhythm changes — with no cameras and nothing to wear.
It uses Wi-Fi sensing (channel state information) and mmWave radar to read the room rather than record it, so safety doesn't cost privacy.
It solves the silent-emergency problem: knowing something is wrong when no one is there to notice, and alerting family before a quiet event becomes a crisis.
◇ Capabilities
No cameras, no wearables
A wall device senses the room — nothing to film, nothing to charge or wear.
Fall and breathing detection
Flags falls and breathing anomalies the moment they happen.
Sleep and rhythm changes
Tracks daily-rhythm shifts that signal a developing problem.
Private by design
Wi-Fi CSI and mmWave radar read presence and motion, not images.
◇ How it works
01Place. Mount a single small device on the wall of the living space.
02Sense. It reads motion, breathing, and rhythm via Wi-Fi and radar.
03Alert. Family is notified the moment something looks wrong.
◇ Who it's for
Adult children of aging parents
Senior living and eldercare operators
Healthcare IoT and aging-in-place programs
◇ Frequently asked
What is Rythm?
Rythm is a contactless health-monitoring device for elderly people living alone. It detects falls, breathing anomalies, and sleep or rhythm changes using Wi-Fi sensing and mmWave radar — with no cameras and nothing to wear.
How does Rythm monitor without a camera?
Rythm uses Wi-Fi channel-state information and mmWave radar to read motion, breathing, and presence in a room. It senses what is happening without recording images, so monitoring doesn't cost privacy.
What does Rythm detect?
Falls, breathing anomalies, and changes in sleep and daily rhythm — the silent events that matter most when an older person lives alone — and it alerts family the moment one appears.
Rythm is available by invitation. Request access below.
